On April 3rd, author of Pacha’s Pajamas, Aaron Ableman, and music therapist, Carrie Davoli, provided music and story for patients and families at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. Aaron and Carrie performed in the hospital’s playroom through the Child Life Program and served a handful of kids in need. Patients were dancing, singing, shaking and moving to the music. There was time for requests and patients thoroughly engaged during the various activities.
Over 100 albums and CDs were given away and kids had a chance to express their favorite animal and there favorite song. Audrey Muntz, Child Life Specialist at UCSF, expressed gratitude in Imagination Heals visit;
“It was a fun and lively experience for the kids and we were so happy to have live interactive music and storytelling for patients and their families to enjoy”
Even the pet-therapy dog at USCF enjoys the story of Pacha!!
The visit and donations were sponsored by A Forever Recovery and Best Drug Rehabilitation.
